CO2 Laser treatment

The latest fractional carbon dioxide CO2 lasers are one of the most effective treatments on the market for non-surgical revitalization of the skin. It uses laser microbeams to create tiny pin-point punctures in the surface of the skin and penetrates the deeper layers of the skin. It creates an ablative and thermal effect which triggers the skins’ natural wound healing response; stimulating collagen and elastin production.

Benefits of Fractional CO2 Laser

Reduces Fine Lines And Wrinkles

Fractional CO2 laser treatment targets the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production and smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles. This results in a more young and refreshed appearance. Over time, the skin continues to improve as new collagen forms.

Improves Skin Texture

The laser removes damaged outer skin layers, promoting the growth of new, healthier skin cells. This process helps to create a smoother and more even skin texture. The overall effect is a refined and polished look, enhancing the skin’s natural glow.

Quick Recovery Time

Unlike traditional laser treatments, fractional CO2 laser therapy requires less downtime, allowing you to resume daily activities more quickly. The advanced technology minimises damage to surrounding tissues, promoting faster healing and reduced side effects.

Minimises Scars And Pigmentation

Fractional CO2 laser reduces the visibility of scars, including those from acne, surgery, or injury. It also helps to even out skin tone by targeting and breaking down excess pigmentation, resulting in a clearer, more uniform complexion.

Stimulates Collagen Production

By penetrating the skin’s deeper layers, the laser stimulates the natural production of collagen, essential for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness. This leads to tighter, more resilient skin with improved structural integrity.

What downtime is needed afterwards?

Downtime varies on the intensity of treatment on each individual. This will be discussed with you at your consultation. After treatment you may feel sunburned during the first 24- 48 hours. With the lighter CO2 treatments you will need 3-7 days of downtime. We do not perform deeper treatments at our clinic.  It may take about 3-14 days for your skin to heal after which it may remain pink for a period of four to six weeks. It will usually take three to six months to get full results.
